The Chinese pair and their South Korean rivals were booed by the crowd after hitting serves into the net and striking easy shots, trying to lose on purpose.
The farce was repeated in the next women's doubles between South Korea and Indonesia. A Chinese delegation spokesman said the delegation was taking the incident seriously and had ordered its own probe.
