HONG KONG, June 21 (Xinhua) -- Taiwan stocks closed up 1.90 percent on Monday, with the benchmark weighted index moving up 142.45 points and finishing the session at 7,635.56, according to news reaching here from Taipei.
The local bourse opened 102.82 points higher and fluctuated between 7,562.25 and 7,645.71 before closing.
Market turnover totaled 108.31 billion new Taiwan dollars (about 3.39 billion U.S. dollars). |
